Review “Here, There be Dragons”

Here, There Be Dragons (Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica, #1)Here, There Be Dragons by James A. Owen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It seems like many books are blending myths and historical figures/events with the contemporary world. This book does both and was a very entertaining and enjoyable read. It is not always obvious that this blending is happening, so the reader must be paying attention for the subtle hints and clues to catch on.

There is the typical struggle between good and evil, both on a large scale and individually within characters, and also the theme of believing in oneself and rising to any adversity encountered.

There was one scene in which the protagonists were climbing a tower that’s structure was linked to time, the higher in the tower they climbed the closer to the present the became (the bottom represented the distant past, mastodons and such) the concept and execution was well done.
